Tribute to my father;
My father was a proud man,
He worked hard all his life.
Never unemployed or
Unfaithful to his wife.
My father was a strong man,
Of character and will.
Always quick to let you know
Exactly how he’d feel.
My father was a gentle man,
He helped me understand.
In times of family conflict,
He’d never raise a hand.
My father was a giving man,
When money came to him.
His first thoughts turned to sharing,
And the pleasure it would bring.
My father wasn’t perfect,
Not the best I might have had.
My father was a proud man,
I’m proud he was my dad.
