OH, MY GOD. Aruba, Caribbean Ocean. The sand was white with a consistency by the water which I'd liken to wet plaster. The sea was clear light azure blue. The only difference between the sea and the swimming pool on board ship is that I could only see clearly down as far as my knees in the sea. The waves were strong as they hit the beach and there was a steep shelf. One second you could be up to your thighs in the sea, then as the wave went out, you could be stood on the beach. Then the next wave came in and knocked you off your feet. Once out swimming, two Pelicans were flying low over the water and would suddenly nose dive in for their next meal. One hit the water about 30 feet from me, ate his catch then flew off right over my head. As I swam around, I knew I was in paradise and I would never forget this place. The temperature here is constant all year round between 75 and 95. On his day it got up to 91. If you ever get the chance, go to the beaches of Aruba, One Happy Island.
