Caribbean Cruise Day 9 - St Lucia

Got up a little earlier this morning and watched as the ship pulled in to St Lucia. This island appears much greener than St Kitts with large areas covered by rain forest. Our scheduled tour had been cancelled due to too few bookings, so we hired our own tour to take us to a rainforest trail off the tourist route. With three large cruise ships in the harbour, we were still able to find a great route which took us about a mile an a half into the forest without meeting anyone on he trail. And although a distant shot, I managed to get my first Humming Bird Photo. We saw butterflies the size of my outstretched hand, a Land crab and several other bird and animal species. We returned to the boat feeling like we had got value for our money. After lunch, we had a swim in the Solarium pool. The evening entertainment was provided by 'El Goucho.' A mixture of music, comedy and performance. Absolutely hilarious at times and very entertaining.
